O LOST in Portugal junta-se ao blog Darkufo na antevisão da quarta temporada. Neste post vamos rever a informação que possuímos até ao momento sobre o primeiro episódio, que será exibido na ABC no dia 6 de Fevereiro de 2008 (se a decisão de manter Lost à quarta-feira for final). O primeiro episódio da quarta temporada tem, desde logo, um título bastante sugestivo: "The Beginning of the End", isto é, "O Princípio do Fim". Um ponto que certamente será do agrado dos fãs é o facto de este ser um episódio centrado em múltiplas personagens. Até ao momento, sabe-se que pelo menos Sawywer e Hurley terão flashbacks e/ou flashforwards. Existe também a forte possibilidade de se tratar de um episódio de duas horas, tal como vem acontecendo com os season finales.
Sejam os flashes de Hurley para o passado ou para o futuro, a verdade é que temos a certeza de que irão envolver o instituto psiquiátrico onde a personagem esteve internada, isto é, o "Santa Rosa Mental Institute". Além disso, a personagem de Lance Reddick (cujo nome será "Arthur Stevens") parece ser um dos médicos do hospital. Uma teoria interessante é a de que Arthur Stevens pertença à equipa de Naomi e se reencontre com Hurley na Ilha, depois de se terem conhecido no instituto psiquiátrico.
Pouco se sabe sobre os flashes de Sawyer, apenas que a personagem será alvo de uma perseguição policial automóvel.
Além de Arthur Stevens, este episódio marca a estreia de outras duas personagens: Russell, que será interpretado por Ken Leung, e Daniel Faraday, interpretado por Jeremy Davies. Tanto um com outro pertencem à equipa de Naomi e irão aterrar de pára-quedas na Ilha, sendo posteriormente encontrados por Kate e Jack.
É importante recordar ainda que Russell é descrito como um matemático brilhante, na casa dos 30 anos, que é capaz de grandes introspecções e apresenta um vastíssimo conhecimento em várias áreas científicas. Já Faraday é uma das personagens ainda sem descrição.
